The seizure of an engine (e.g. piston in the cylinder or connecting rod big end on the crankshaft etc.) is caused by a problem in the lubrication process, which leads to an increase in the temperature of the mating components, increased friction and, consequently, a seizure. The engine lubrication is affected not only by the correct fuel-oil mixture proportions used, but also by the freshness of the fuel, the right type and class of oil, the correct carburettor adjustment (correct air-fuel ratio), and condition of the air filter, including its cleanliness and security. Therefore, all of the above must be periodically checked, the more often the better. Arbitrary adjustment of the fuel-oil ratio usually results in engine seizure.

For a jammed starter, e.g. after a sudden return of the rope by releasing the handle at start; internal engine damage - visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

The ignition switch is set in the WYŁ/OFF position - switch to the WŁ/ON position; too low fuel level or no fuel in the tank - fill up to the level max. 1 cm from the filler; fuel line hose incorrectly laid in the tank - check and correct; clogged / soiled fuel filter on the fuel suction hose in the tank - check and replace if necessary; clogged / soiled air filter - clean according to the operating instructions or replace with a new one; flooded spark plug - remove, clean and dry, replace if necessary (the spark plug should be replaced at least once a season); if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

A cutting blade mounted incorrectly on the angular gear shaft, or incorrect fastening washer position - switch off and mount the blade correctly. If the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

Pure petrol stays fresh for up to 30 days, then its quality may undergo de-emulsification, and then its elements can start to precipitate and block the internal carburettor channels. Therefore, it is preferred to have pure petrol in reserve only for the next period, while the best is to prepare the mixture for the period of planned work and, after finishing the work, the fuel in the engine should be finished or the tank emptied. Leaving the mixture for a longer time can cause ageing and de-emulsification of the mixture, which may cause disturbances in the lubrication process of the engine during operation and cause its seizure.

Carburettor adjustment is a process of setting the correct fuel-air mixture ratio and can be carried out only by service personnel. The user can adjust the engine idle using the stop bolt to raise or lower the idle speed (for brush cutters with an angular gear and clutch - see the operating instructions). The engine must not be left running at idle for too long, preferably less than five minutes, as this may lead to damage to the engine - overheating or seizing.

Cold engine - warm up to the correct operating temperature; the fuel does not get into the carburettor in the right amounts - clogged / soiled fuel filter - replace with a new one; faulty spark plug - replace with a new one; clogged / soiled air filter - clean as per the instructions or replace with a new one; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

This must not be done. Before changing the direction, disengage the drive and switch it on only after setting the lawnmower for straight ahead. Turning and u-turning when the drive is engaged leads to very rapid damage to the transmission, especially the gears at the wheels and transmission.

Blunt or worn cutting blade - remove the spark plug wire (petrol lawnmower), disconnect the plug from the power socket (electric lawnmower), remove the knife, sharpen and balance the blade (using a service centre for this work is preferred) or replace the blade with a proper one; soiled discharge chute in the lawnmower housing - clean thoroughly; blocked holes in the grass basket - clean thoroughly, e.g. with compressed air or wash with water; heavily soiled underside of the lawnmower housing - clean thoroughly by removing grass residues.

Skewed cutting blade because of hitting a hard object or uneven terrain, bent blade holder / adapter, bent engine shaft end - remove the spark plug wire (petrol lawnmower) / disconnect the plug from the power socket (electric lawnmower), check the condition of the cutting blade and holder / adapter, replace if damaged; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

Check the adjustment of the steering cable clearance; remove the spark plug wire, remove the drive belt cover - clean the cover and the drive by removing grass residues; check whether the drive belt is cracked, burned or improperly fitted, replace if necessary; check that the tensioning spring is not missing, replace if necessary; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

When operating without a load (mowing grass), the engine may change its speed to a small extent, which may give the impression of uneven operation (going up and down). This is normal and is related to the design features of the lawnmower engine (mechanical governor) especially when the engine is running without a load. However, when working under load, the permitted unevenness of engine speed is +/- 50 rpm. The unevenness can also be caused by a soiled carburettor or damage to the components of the governor - visit a service centre to find the cause of the problem.

Petrol stays fresh for up to 30 days, then its quality may undergo de-emulsification, wax and solvents can precipitate and block the internal carburettor channels. Therefore, it is preferred to have pure petrol in reserve only for the next period, and the fuel in the engine should be finished or kept for a short period of no more than a few days.

Too low level of wiring system - it should be replaced with 10 A overcurrent protection; too small cross-section of power cord and / or too long power cord - it should have a cross-section of min. 2.5 mm2 and be no longer than 50 m; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

Engine brake activated - press the brake lever on the upper handlebar of the lawnmower; remove the spark plug wire, tilt the mower backwards and check whether the blade is not locked; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

Too little fuel in the tank - top up to a height of max. 1 cm from the filler; stale fuel in the tank - remove and fill with fresh fuel (fuel has a storage life up to 30 days); remove the spark plug and check if a spark is generated, replace if in doubt (replace the spark plug once per season); soiled or clogged air filter - wash the sponge filter according to the operating instructions, replace the paper filter; if the fault is still present, visit the nearest service centre to find the cause of the problem.

In addition to the above mentioned faults, it may be caused by an incorrect starting procedure. With the engine cold: set the ignition switch in the WŁ/ON position; pull the choke lever out to the maximum (choke on), pull the starter rope firmly without rapid tugging until the engine starts running and immediately stops. Then PRESS THE CHOKE LEVER (choke off) and pull the rope firmly again, avoiding rapid pulling of the starter rope grip, until the engine starts. Let the engine run at idle for a while, press the throttle and if the engine does not choke - work can be started.

The chainsaw brake is activated - pull the brake lever firmly towards yourself to release it.

Brake activated - release the lever by pulling it firmly towards yourself, a click can be heard as a sign of brake release. Working with the brake activated will quickly result in a burnt brake and clutch, and damage to the gear wheel and chain, in critical cases melting can occur inside the housing; the chain is improperly installed on the clutch gear wheel - turn off the device and visit the nearest service centre for a check for possible damage to other elements of the chainsaw (clutch, chain, guide bar); chain too tight - adjust; blunt or worn chain - sharpen or replace.

Pure petrol stays fresh for up to 30 days, then its quality may undergo de-emulsification, and wax and solvents can precipitate and block the internal carburettor channels. Therefore, it is preferred to have pure petrol in reserve only for the next period, while the best is to prepare the mixture for the period of planned work, and after finishing the work, the fuel in the engine should be finished or discharged into a leakproof container and recycled. Leaving the mixture for a longer time can cause ageing and de-emulsification of the mixture, which may cause disturbances in the lubrication process of the engine during operation and cause its seizure.

Turn the chainsaw so that the bottom and the chain drive are visible, visually check that the chain is in place. If the chain is sidewise displaced it, cutting will be possible, but the clutch, gear wheel, chain and guide bar will be damaged in a short time.

Carburettor adjustment is a process of setting the correct fuel-air mixture ratio and can be carried out only by service personnel. The user can adjust the engine idle with the stop bolt, so that with a deactivated brake (working conditions) the chain does not move. The engine must not be left running at idle for too long, preferably less than five minutes, as this may lead to damage to the engine - overheating or seizing.
